I am planning to start business on the U.S. side targeting Asian (particularly Japanese) markets. Targeted audience will be consumers and micro-to-small businesses alike in Asia who want to purchase and ship things from the US but have trouble dealing with U.S. companies that don’t ship internationally. Eventually it will cover more Asian and some European countries as well.

I’d like to hear some ideas on how you push a business like mine in Asian markets.

I found this site looking for the info on the exact date Yahoo Japan started using the Google organic results and had a look at it, seems really interesting.

I am also interested in Japanese SEO (I’m a newbie at that), but we have something in common: we both thought of having a Search Marketing glossary, perhaps you would like to have a look at mine, though it’s Spanish-Japanese.

Is anyone getting any clear indication that Yahoo Japan’s results have changed since the Google Panda algorithm update was applied (and when was it applied?)?

And what’s going on with the Yahoo Japan Directory? Still advisable after the Google switch?

Jeff here from JC Digital. Hey great site. Even though the content appears to be written in around 2010 and early 2011, much of it still applies to Japanese SEO today. I think the fundamental methodology for SEO is still the same, (KW research, link buiding, etc.), however in many cases the battleground is completely different (Mixi => Facebook).

Would be nice to see the site updated.
